Abstract
Artiklen udforsker det antikke Horologion i Athen som et tidligt videnskabeligt instrument. Gennem en kombination af historisk analyse og fysisk forståelse vises, hvordan bygningen fungerede som både solur og vandur. Artiklen demonstrerer, hvordan klassisk fysik kan anvendes til at rekonstruere funktionaliteten af historiske konstruktioner. Samtidig giver den et perspektiv på, hvordan astronomi og tidsmåling var tæt forbundet i antikken.
