VIA udbyder hvert år en international sommerskole med FN’s verdensmål som omdrejningspunkt. Som en del af forløbet er de studerende på en overnatningstur til Mols Bjerge. Begrundelsen for dette er, at uddannelse kan udgøre et vigtigt rum, der kan forbinde mennesker og natur og som kan hjælpe studerende med at udvide deres forståelse og eksistens med et andet blik for naturen som centrum. Denne artikel undersøger, hvordan denne tur kan medvirke til at skabe mere forbundethed til naturen igennem forskellige aktiviteter med stedet som et afgørende omdrejningspunkt, frigjort fra de rammer og forventninger, der ofte er om og til uddannelse. Undervejs på turen er der indsamlet empiri, der sammen med den didaktiske ramme danner grundlag for analysen. Denne analyse peger på, at langsom tid bliver en afgørende faktor for at kunne åbne for både intimitet og solidaritet med naturen, og at det kræver mod og tillid fra både undervisere og studerende, hvis dette skal lykkes.
