Abstract

Conservation

The Lurs from Ulvkær arrived at the Conservation Department of the National Museum in many pieces of magnificent colours caused by specific corrosion circumstances. A series of scientific examinations such as pollen analysis, X-ray and X-ray flourescense was undertaken before cleaning the surface of the lurs.

The individual tubes are described in details and observations like traces of polishing, original repairs and core supporters are noted.
