Conservation of the Rådved treasure
The final excavation and conservation of the treasure was carried out at the National Museum's Department for Conservation of Archaeological Finds.
An X-ray examination was first performed.
The bronze pot contained a spherical pot with conglominated perforated pennies, same of which were contained in a purse.
In the earthenware jug there were also a number of coins, in two purses. Coins and ornaments were conserved by the same method as was used for the large coin find from Kirial, Djursland.
