Accessibility statement

This is an accessibility statement for the journal: STS Encounters.
Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Due to different EU regulations, this statement contains three separate parts.

Part 1: Volume 1, number 1 to volume 10, number 5

This statement is relevant for volume 1, number 1, 2008 through volume 10, number 5, 2018. Complying with current EU regulations, articles published before September 23th 2018 are unfortunately not made accessible at this point in time. We will do our best to make them accessible as soon as possible.

Part 2: Volume 11, number 1 to volume 12, number 1

This statement is relevant for volume 11, number 1, 2018 through volume 12, number 1, 2021. Encounters is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, footnotes and graphs may not be accessible for screen readers at this point in time.

Part 3: Volume 15 and onwards

This statement is relevant for volume 15, number 1, 2023 and onwards. Encounters is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
