Abstract

This article probes the evolving landscape of literary criticism in the digital era, with a focus on the Danish context and insights from two Norwegian books. It highlights a shift from objective, traditional criticism to a personal and even autobiographical approach. The rise of social media has democratized literary discourse, allowing a plethora of voices to partake in what was once a guarded domain. This transition poses challenges for literary criticism, which now confronts an identity crisis due to the loss of its traditional platforms and an audience that increasingly seeks relatable and engaged criticism. The article suggests that literary criticism, mirroring the personal nature of contemporary literature, must adapt to maintain relevance and connection in the digital age.
