Abstract
På Risø er der bygget et optisk feedbacksystem til mønstergenkendelse, inspireret af Hopfield-netværk. Artiklen præsenterer både den optiske arkitektur og den underliggende fysiske teori. Gennem linseoptik, Fourier-transformation og rumlige lysmodulatorer opnås billedbehandling i næsten realtid. Artiklen viser, hvordan fysikens præcisionsværktøjer kombineres med kunstig intelligens i laboratoriet. En fascinerende demonstration af lys som regneenhed.
