Abstract
Artiklen beskriver, hvordan computersimuleringer, især Monte Carlo-metoder, bruges til at forstå termisk fluktuerende flader i bløde materialer som biologiske membraner. Den forklarer, hvordan membraners form og struktur afhænger af bøjningsstivhed, ekskluderet volumen og termiske fluktuationer, og viser at flydende membraner kan opføre sig som forgrenede polymerer.
