Abstract
Artiklen beskriver udviklingen af en mekanisk bølgeleder på en chip, som kan transportere vibrationer næsten uden tab af energi. Ved at kombinere teknikker som dissipation dilution og soft clamping skabes ultrakoherente membraner, hvor dæmpningen som følge af overdreven bøjning og forlængelse minimeres. Inspireret af krystalstruktur og topologi konstrueres en fononisk krystal med en defekt, som leder mekaniske bølger langs en topologisk kanttilstand. Malinger viser ekstremt lave tab: ca. 3 dB/km og kun 0,01 % spredning ved hvert hjørne. Resultatet demonstrerer mekaniske bølgeledere med ydeevne pa niveau med optiske fibre og åbner for nye teknologiske muligheder.
