1. About the Reublication

This project is anchored within the Danish Physical Society, supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, and consists of three phases.

For more than 36 years, KVANT has served as the membership magazine of the Danish Astronomical Society, the Danish Physical Society, and the Society for the Dissemination of Natural Science. The magazine is published four times a year and contains scientific physics articles, stories about physics in a broad sense, and news from the societies.

Over the years, this has resulted in more than 1000 high-quality physics articles, and the publishing societies would now like this knowledge to benefit the broader physics community to a much greater extent. We have therefore decided to republish all scientific articles on Tidsskrift.dk/KVANT — The Royal Danish Library’s repository for academic journals.

By republishing the articles with abstracts and keywords, they become searchable on the internet. In particular, we are adding DOI identifiers and the authors’ ORCID iDs, making the articles fully citable.

This phase of the project is the most extensive. We will attempt to contact all 814 authors to give them the opportunity to actively participate in the republication of their work. All authors are invited to connect their ORCID iD to their articles, write an updated abstract, and add relevant keywords.

To connect your email address with your article, you can either:

  • Register as an author here: tidsskrift.dk/KVANT/register
  • Or wait for us to locate your email address through internet searches and LinkedIn.

Afterwards, you will receive a guidance email from Louise<noreply@kb.dk> when we are ready to republish your article.

If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact digital editor Louise Kindt and her team at:

Thank you for your contribution to the physics community.
