Abstract

The Professional & Continuing Education (PCE) division at University of Washington (in Seattle, United States) is launching a new Certificate program this year in localization. Officially named Localization: Customizing Software for the World, the program is comprised of a 3-course intensive format that was developed in partnership with industry, professional organizations, and academia.

Barbara Inge Karsch

Barbara Inge Karsch holds a BA and MA in translation and interpretation. She has helped bridge the gap between academia and industry through guest lectures and articles, academic and internship programs.

Erik Bansleben, University of Washington

Erik Bansleben is Program Development Director of Professional & Continuing Education at the University of Washington. He focuses on the development and implementation of certificate programs and Masters degrees in the IT sector.
