Resumé

This article aims to explore how different stakeholders construct and interpret studies on the well-being of LGBT+-individuals in the labor market. By outlining, comparing and analyzing two studies of the workplace well-being of LGBT+-individuals through a range of methodological and theoretical lenses, the article highlights the ways in which researchers’ question formulations and selection biases can influence study outcomes. The article argues for more rigorous research practices and encourages readers to adopt a critical and reflective approach when engaging with studies on the well-being of LGBT+- individuals in the labor market as well as a general critical stance towards stakeholders’ presentation and construction of statistical material.
