Denne rapport præsenterer en række analyser af de konkurrenceudsatte forskningsmidler givet af både offentlige og private forskningsfinansierende fonde i perioden 2004 til 2016. Analyserne har overordnet til formål at afdække og kortlægge spredningen af forskningsmidler og forskningsbevillinger på videnskabelige emneområder. Herunder fokuseres der på forskelle og ligheder mellem finansieringsorganernes emnemæssige profiler med et særligt fokus på sammenligninger af bevillinger givet af henholdsvis offentlige og private fonde, samt på ændringer over tid.
