Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Clearly indicate in "Comments for the Editor" (below) whether your submission concerns our conference issue or our thematic issue.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, DOIs for the references have been provided.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The FECUN journal welcomes submissions in relation to our conference series, to specific calls for papers as well as submissions outside our thematic issues.

Peer Review

All articles and essays published in the regular issues - both inside and outside themes - have been subjected to double-blind peer review and editorial review and processing.

Articles
36.000-60.000 characters with space and footnotes, bibliography not included. Abstracts must be no longer than 1200 characters.

Language
The scope of the journal is international but the publication language of the journal is English (British and American styles of spelling are both accepted as long as there is consistency) and all manuscripts are expected to conform to rules of spelling and punctuation. In some cases, it might be expected that the author seeks help from a professional proofreader prior to publication. This will be indicated as part of the peer-review process.
