About the Journal

Aims and Scope
Futures of Education, Culture and Nature - Learning to Become (FECUN) is an international peer-reviewed and open access online journal that focuses on the interplay between education, culture and nature in the past, present and future, with a strong emphasis on the future challenges and possibilities emerging in this complex interplay.

The FECUN journal publishes articles and essays that address this intersection between education, culture and nature from the vantage point of different research disciplines, for instance, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, psychology, history, economy, political science, etc. Furthermore, in FECUN we value epistemic diversity and are dedicated to publishing research that adopts a broad outlook on the production of knowledge. The journal also endeavours to serve as a vibrant hub for knowledge production and exchange between scholars doing research in different forms of Higher Education Institutions (such as universities, polytechnic and vocational HEIs) and other research institutions, such as museums. The journal welcomes well-founded, novel and innovative research of both the theoretical and the empirical kind and equally aims to publish articles with a strong practice outlook.

The journal is part of the overall FECUN project and regularly publishes theme issues as well as articles and papers delivered at the Futures of Education conference series (for more info see www.fecun.net).
