Erkendelsesformende retorik – genrestrategi i tidligere statsminister Anders Fogh Rasmussens drejebog

Abstract

This article is a survey of how the use of genres helps shape our cognition of the outside world. The focus of the survey is former Prime Minister Fogh Rasmussen's personal speech held on Vartov about Kierkegaard’s and Grundtvig's influence on his own life, and how he strategically combined the personal speech genre with the political defense speech genre to cleverly and consciously form his audience's recognition of the escalating Muhammad crisis in the autumn of 2005. The survey is based on Carolyn Miller's understanding of genre as social action.
