About the Journal
Danish Yearbook of Musicology was a scholarly journal related to music research in the widest sense. The journal was published by the Danish Musicological Society (Dansk Selskab for Musikforskning), starting in 1961 under the title Danish Yearbook of Musicology (vols. 31–45) and Dansk Årbog for Musikforskning (vols. 1–30).
As of 2025 the journal has changed its title to Danish Journal of Musicology located at this website. Any new submissions to the journal must be done via the new website.
The disciplinary scope of the journal encompasses historical musicology, ethnomusicology, music theory and analysis, popular music studies, sound studies, music education, music aesthetics, music sociology, and any other aspects of music studies.
All issues of the journal are available open access at this website.
