The AT-project: practical research in cooperative design

Resumé

This paper describes work on the AT project. (''AT'' stands for ''Arbejdstilsynet'', the Danish national labor inspection service.) The AT project is a collaboration between AT-Aarhus and Aarhus University (AU).

 

Participating in the project from the Aarhus branch of the AT are 40-50 people from a variety of occupations including secretaries, administrative workers, machinists, engineers, lawyers, and therapists. The researchers on the project are all connected in some way to Aarhus University and include the authors.

 

The paper provides an overview of the project through descriptions of its various activities. For more thorough analyses of project activities, the reader is referred to the bibliography. The paper ends with preliminary discussions of the present state of the project and our long-term outlook.
