Ashton Applewhite

An internationally recognized expert on ageism, Ashton Applewhite is the author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism (2016, 2019) and Cutting Loose: Why Women Who End Their Marriages Do So Well (1997). She blogs at This Chair Rocks, is the voice of Yo, Is This Ageist?, and co-founded the Old School Anti-Ageism Clearinghouse. Ashton speaks widely, at venues that have included the United Nations and the TED mainstage, and is at the forefrontof the emerging global movement to dismantle ageism.
