Author Biography

Stephen Katz, Trent University

is Professor (Emeritus) of Sociology at Trent University (Canada), founding member of the Trent Centre for Aging and Society, and recipient of Trent's Distinguished Research Award.  He is author of Disciplining Old Age (1996), Cultural Aging (2005), editor of Ageing in Everyday Life (2018) and published articles on aging bodies, critical gerontology, sexuality, musical biography, cognitive impairment, design and health technologies.  Current projects include a book collection on Mind, Self and Society in Later Life, and research on the neuro-cultural aspects of aging memory, and the datafication of aging and care. He can be reached at SKatz@Trentu.ca.
