Det nærværende pilotstudie blev udført i 2010 hos Integrationsnet – en del af Dansk Flygtningehjælp, og målet var at undersøge, om musik kan bruges til at forbedre søvnkvaliteten hos traumatiserede flygtninge. Tre hypoteser blev undersøgt: 1) at lytte til rolig musik ved sengetid kan forbedre søvnkvaliteten hos traumatiserede flygtninge, 2) forbedret søvnkvalitet vil reducere traumesymptomer og 3) forbedret søvnkvalitet vil højne det generelle velbefindende.
Projektet blev godkendt af videnskabsetisk komite, og alle deltagere underskrev informeret samtykke. Projektet er gennemført med økonomisk støtte fra Trygfonden og Integrationsministeriet.
