Musiklytning for en patient med agiteret adfærd efter alvorlig hjerneskade

Abstract: Dette studie undersøger hvordan musiklytning kan anvendes til at reducere agiteret adfærd hos mennesker med erhvervet hjerneskade. Der er tale om et single-casestudie med data, som indgår i et multipelt casestudie hvor kvantitative såvel som kvalitative målinger indgår. Interventionen blev udført på en intensiv rehabiliteringsenhed af det ansatte personale, som ikke indbefatter musikterapeuter. Resultater fra studiet antyder, at lytning til foretrukken musik kan hjælpe patienten med musikalsk baggrund til at opnå ro og interaktion med personalet. Patienten synes at kunne genkende og deltage i rehabiliterende aktiviteter med bedre forståelse, opmærksomhed og nærvær. Lytning til foretrukken musik er en nonfarmakologisk intervention, som er nem at administrere og ikke viser negative bivirkninger.
