Scandinavian Political Studies, Bind 6 (1971)ForewordErik Rasmussen Volume VI of Scandinavian Political Studies does not differ much from its predecessors. The aim of the yearbook is to contribute to the strengthening of ties between Scandinavian political science and the international community of political scientists by promoting a two-way exchange of information. The bulk of the volume consists of a number of articles in which Scandinavian and some foreign scholars present results of some of their research to an international public. Most of the articles concern Scandinavian subjects (the only exception being the article by Gunnar Heckscher, former Professor of Political Science in Stockholm and later Royal Swedish Ambassador in New Delhi, now in Tokyo), but this is not necessarily the case. It is the intention of the yearbook to publish contributions by Scandinavians on any subject within its scope and by foreign colleagues on Scandinavian topics. The next section of the volume presents review articles on recent elections and cabinet formation in Denmark, Finland, and Sweden, as well as - for the first time - an Icelandic contribution, by Ölafur R. Grimsson, who is founding a social sciences department at the University of Iceland. Finally the volume
contains a bibliography of Scandinavian Political
