Scandinavian Political Studies, Bind 1 (1966)SCANDINAVIAN POLITICAL STUDIES is the outcome of a decision of the Political Science Associations of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden to publish a joint yearbook in order to make political research in the Nordic countries more familiar to the English speaking scientific community. The main section of the yearbook is devoted to articles by Scandinavian authors or those dealing with politics in the four countries. In addition, the annual review section contains accounts of recent political developments, reports on political research in the individual countries, and a yearly bibliography. The Chief Editor of Scandinavian Political Studies is Professor Pertti Pesonen of Tampere University, Finland. Members of the Editorial Board include Professors Pär-Erik Back of Umeå, Sweden; Sven Henningsen of Copenhagen, Denmark; Jaakko Nousiainen of Turku, Finland; and Stein Rokkan of Bergen, Norway. VOLUME ONE includes two general theoretical papers by Finns, Jan-Magnus Jansson and Ilkka Juhani Heiskanen; a section on "Parties, Pressures, and Ideological Structures", containing studies by Björn Molin (Gothenburg), Knut Dahl Jacobsen (Oslo), and Olavi Borg (Helsinki); and a section of studies on various aspects of elections from Henry Valen (Oslo), Mogens N.
