Under Covid-19 pandemien blev jeg ubehageligt opmærksom på, at huden på mine hænder ikke var min alene. Den var en del af en omverden af udvekslende materialiteter. Nogle kunne sanses, andre ikke. Den norske kunstner og kemiker Sissel Tolaas viser os med Liquid_Money_2, at lugtesansen gemmer på en rigdom af erkendelse, der kan udvide forståelsen for vores sammensmeltning med omverdenen.
