Argumentstruktur og nominalisering

Resumé

In this article the main focus is on theoretical and representational issues connected to argument structure in nominalizations. The relevance of argument structure theory for lexicographical and terminological analysis will be advocated and exemplified by nominalizations of technical terms in documentation related to the Norwegian offshore petroleum industry. Representational problems connected to the systematic ambiguity of Norwegian verbal nouns denoting events (Grimshaw 1990) will be discussed and illustrated by examples from the Norwegian data base NOT.
