Kirkehistorikeren L.P. Fabricius’ bidrag til Gotlands reformationshistorie

Resumé

I dansk kirkehistorisk forskning fylder øen Gotland ikke meget, og i danske standardværker skal man lede længe for at finde noget videre om øens kirkehistorie. I den gængse historiske oversigtslitteratur omtales Gotland ofte kun i forbindelse med krige, og øens historie er præget af spændingsfeltet mellem kongerigerne Danmark og Sverige samt Hansestaden Lübeck. Men faktisk findes der på dansk et længere, men desværre aldrig udkommet, bidrag til Gotlands kirkehistorie. Det omhandler Gotland på reformationstiden, og det er forfattet af den danske teolog og kirkehistoriker dr. theol. h.c. L.P. Fabricius. Fabricius’ manuskript publiceres i denne artikel, idet de manglende noter til manuskriptet er forsøgt rekonstrueret.

Summary
The Church Historian L.P. Fabricius and his Contribution to the Church History of Gotland During the years 1934-1936, the Danish theologian and church historian, Dr. of theology, h.c. L.P. Fabricius, published his first three halfvolumes, out of four half-volumes, of a general Danish church history. Fabricius’ brother-in-law – the future church historian P. G. Lindhardt – finished the last half-volume but it was never published. The never published half-volume is a noteworthy contribution to Gotland’s history of Reformation, and it is published here with reconstructed notes that point to Fabricius’ source material. Together with a short study of research history, the contribution to Gotland’s history of Reformation, published in the article, suggests a basis for a larger work in Danish or any other language about Gotland’s church under Danish rule at the time of the Reformation.
