Abstract

The work reported in this paper is a part of the DELTA Project. The DELTA Project has as one of its objectives to develop language tools for description of complex, interacting and dynamic systems. The first DELTA language proposal will appear as a publication from the Norwegian Computing Center.

In this report the authors use the DELTA language (as of September 1974) to describe a biological system in interaction with an experimental set-up. The system selected consists of a single brain neuron of Helix Pomatia (the edible snail) and a neurophysiological experimental equipment.
