Call for Associate Editors
The international and interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal Communication and Language at Work
(CLAW) calls for associate editors. Peter Kastberg and Klarissa Lueg, the Editors of CLaW, would like to
recruit two or more Associate Editors to join their editorial board.
CLaW’s current journal management aims to promote research into organizational behavior and
communication. Empirical, theoretical and conceptual texts of significant originality will be considered
for publication. CLAW welcomes contributions that seek to enhance our understanding of organizational
behavior and communication by investigating relevant aspects from numerous approaches and
disciplines. Contributions may pertain to, e.g., personal communication, management communication,
change, knowledge and innovation management, power and control, democracy and participation,
organizational learning, and the role of language and linguistic exchanges in organizations. The
application of critical theories is appreciated; however, CLAW does not subscribe to a specific research
paradigm. CLaW operates independent from professional organizations or publishing houses, and is an
open-access, indexed (BFI 1) journal with a history of now 13 years. CLaW publishes biannually.
CLaW has only recently been re-organized with a view to staff, organization and program. The editorial
board, except the founding editor, has been changed. For more information, please see
The editors are keen to appoint a colleague with expertise and interest in (some of) the following
Organizational research / Narrativity / Discourse / Networks and work / Critical management /
Organizational communication / Organizational change
We are looking for a researcher from postdoc level onwards, with excellent English skills. Editorial
experience is welcomed, but not a requirement.
The tasks of the Associate Editor are to:
• promote and advertise the journal at conferences, events, own networks and research group
• recruit and manage new contributions including copy-editing and peer-reviewing
• work alongside the editors in thematic planning, and initiate ideas
The post is unremunerated. To apply please get in touch with Klarissa Lueg (email@example.com) by Dec 1,
2018, the latest. You are welcome to inquire about CLaW and the tasks with one of the editors anytime.
